Basic SEO settings

Google Search Console is Google's free service, which allowes you an overview and maintenance of your site in Google Search results. With the help of this service you will better understand how Google sees your website and optimize its display in Google Search results.

 

Google Search Console settings:

  • Open Google Search Console.
  • Choose Website and enter your URL address.
  • Click the red button Add proprety.
  • A new page will open where you choose the second tab Alternate methods.
  • Choose HTML tag.
  • You will be given a code snippet, which starts with <meta..>
  • Copy the code snippet.

In Shopamine:

  • Open Menu > Pages and click Edit next to Homepage.
  • Choose SEO/Meta/Url in the left menu.
  • Scroll down to find Add Meta tag. 
  • Copy the code you got from the Google Search Console and paste it in the bigger window. 
  • Click + Add and Save.

Go back to Google Search Console:

  • Click Verify and Dashboard.
  • Click on the link with your URL address.
  • Find Crawl > Sitemaps in your left menu.
  • Click Add/test sitemap in the top right corner.

Find the link in Shopamine:

  • Open Menu > Push to marketplaces
  • Enable Google SiteMap.
  • Copy the link and paste it in Google Search Console. 
  • Save.
